We as a blogger many a time face this problem when we are out of ideas for the next post. Isn’t it frustrating? we need to keep searching for the new engaging content for our readers. The problem with a content-driven site is that you need to keep updating the new content every day otherwise your number of readers will decline.

I’ve found some great resources and tools that help with coming up with ideas for the blog posts.

1. Quora

The crowdsourced answer website can help lead you to the types of questions that real people are asking, questions that you can answer in-depth with a blog post. Search for your keyword, and follow topics related to your blog’s focus.

2. Google Trends

The world largest search engine shares the keywords that people are searching for. You can find some unique keywords in there for your next blog post.

3. BuzzSumo

Enter a topic or a URL into the BuzzSumo search box, and you’ll get information on the content that performs best for social media sharing. BuzzSumo can be a useful tool for polish an existing idea to find the greater clarity or in taking a broad look at the content that does well in your area of interest.

4. Quick Sprout

Quick Sprout can be a great resource for competition analysis. Enter a URL into Quick Sprout search box, and you get an analysis of the site’s performance and content. Quick Sprout’s “Social Media” tab shows you which posts of your competitors work out for them and you can take inspiration from their successful posts.

5. Portent Title Maker

Portent content idea generator is a great resource to brainstorm blog posts idea. Enter a subject into the Portent tool, and you’ll get a sample blog post title, complete with helpful and witty breakdowns of why the title might make for a good read.

6. Blog topic generator

HubSpot’s title maker works similarly to Portent’s. With the HubSpot tool, you can enter three keywords, and HubSpot will give you five titles—a week’s worth of content—to work with.

7. Reddit

Reddit is a great resource to find the content. On Reddit content is segregated on the bases of community. Follow and keep an eye on the latest trends and threads for the inspiration.

Some other great resources are Twitter trending topics, facebook trending, and Google plus groups.
